FAQs About Floatation Therapy
What do I need to bring?
Just Yourself! We provide a towel, washcloth, earplugs, and soap for your pre and post-shower. You may want to bring a brush, hairdryer or your own products such a deodorant and lotion.
What do I wear?
Some “first-time” float clients will opt for a swimsuit if they feel more comfortable wearing something. We want you to be comfortable – do what is best for you!
How clean is the water?
The solution is fully drained out of our float pod then passes through several filters. Our filters are fully effective to one micron (which is 100 times smaller than a human hair!) Epsom salt (each tank has close to 1000lbs of Epsom salt) is a natural disinfectant, it is next to impossible for bacteria to live in our pod solution.
When is Floatation Therapy available?
We schedule sessions Monday through Saturday starting at 10 am. Our last appointment is at 5:30 pm. Evening and weekends book up quickly so please call in advance!
What are Spa Body Treatments?
Our Spa Body Treatments are a wonderful addition to your massage to help you relax using high-quality products that exfoliate, moisturize, firm, and soften the skin. Each treatment includes a massage session accompanied with your spa body treatment.
How Spa Treatments can help
Stimulates circulation, promotes relaxation, refines and softens skin, re-mineralizes the skin
All of our spa body treatments are integrated into our massage services to achieve your ultimate relaxation goals.
What to Expect During your Appointment
What do I wear?
During your massage you will be covered with a sheet at all times, regardless of how much clothing you take off. Your therapist will tell you to “undress to your comfort level” – some clients keep on their undergarments while some undress completely.
Who is my Massage Therapist?
The Therapists at LHTAcademy are students who have completed (a minimum of) 200 training hours prior to accepting clients in our clinic.
Should I tip my Massage Therapist?
Much like at a restaurant, tipping is completely up to you. If you would like to reward your Therapist for a job well done, feel free to leave a tip (cash only). Do not feel pressured to do so. Tipping is always voluntary! LHTAcademy does not discriminate against anyone with regards to age, gender, race or religion – we expect the same consideration when scheduling appointments with our students.
