The solution used in our flotation therapy pod is fully drained out, then passes through several filters. Our filters are fully effective to one micron (which is 100 times smaller than a human hair The solution in each tank has close to 1000lbs of Epsom salt, a natural disinfectant, making it next to impossible for bacteria to live in our flotation therapy pod solution.
The water in the tank is incredibly buoyant and deeply relaxing – so much so that you might even fall asleep during your flotation therapy session. Many people enjoy sleeping during their floatation therapy, and you should feel free to do the same! It's extremely unlikely you'll roll over in your sleep, but if you do, worst that can happen is being woken up by a bit of salt water in your eyes or mouth.
While most experiences in flotation therapy and sensory deprivation tanks are tranquil transformative, some individuals have reported encountering hallucinations during their sessions. These hallucinations are typically mild and can vary widely among users. The sensory deprivation environment of flotation therapy can enhance the mind's ability to wander, leading to vivid mental imagery or dream-like experiences. It's important to remember that these occurrences are generally harmless and can actually contribute to the overall sense of relaxation and introspection that float therapy aims to achieve.
Our flotation therapy pod isn't small. Aside from open pools, it has the largest internal area. Inside, head to foot, is almost 8 feet of space. Side to side? Over 5 feet! Not willing to close the pod door? No problem. Our pod operates with the door wide open. It's okay. We can accommodate you.
Our float tank uses a specialized filtration system that ensures the water used during flotation therapy fully drained and meticulously cleaned after each session, without the use of any pool chemicals. The system includes three types of filtration: UV lighting, advanced filtration technology, and regular doses of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as a natural cleansing agent to maintain the highest standards of water purity.
